Game Design Prototypes
Construct 3: Enchanted River Crossing
In this game, you are on an adventure in an enchanted forest. Your goal is to reach the exit door at the end. There is only one obstacle in the way, a deadly river.
This prototype demonstrates the use of user interaction, which summons a temporary bridge for you to cross.
The majority of the assets used were from a free download provided by the instructor.
The assets I made were the health bar, the How To Play assets, and the end door.
You can play the game yourself at this link.
Unreal Engine 5: Parkour Training
In this game, you are playing a super-soldier character who is going through parkour training.
Your goal is to reach the end of the course. There are multiple routes you may traverse through.
This prototype demonstrates the used of a First-Person platformer with player detected effects, such as teleporting and death-effect.
The 3D assets used were from the Unreal Engine 5 starter content. The HUD 2D asset was made through Sketchbook, simply drawing out a frame to display the play instructions.
The link to download and play the game yourself is at this link below.
Unity + Playmaker: Project Echo
In this game, you are controlling a prototype droid tasked with unlocking and entering Project Echo. A portal some would say leads to a new dimension. With only a couple of obstacles that can be dealt with a simple flick of a switch.
This prototype demonstrates the controls of a third-person platformer with player input mechanics.
The materials and some 3D assets were provided through the Unity Asset store, the UI was done the same way as in Parkour Training. The robot model was part of the starter third-person controller.
